There will be two sets of numbers. The first one is 8 digits long and has production information (ie. assembly line, seriel number, factory code and production day) The second set of numbers should be along the lines of the following: 34 = 3.4 Liter, 6 = 6 cylinder, E,V or T = Carbureted, Fuel injected, or Turbocharged, A,B or C = index information for BMW, A,C,E,W,Y or Z = Country codes (I do not know the codes)
