I second Bill's recommendation on getting better manifolds instead of headers for a street car. Here's the choices:
528i manifold 6->1 (single 2" exhaust pipe)
Bavaria manifolds 6->2 (two 1.5" exhaust pipes)also get Bavaria down pipes (still available)
later 533/535 manifolds 6->2 (two 1.5" exhaust pipes)later style connector to exhaust pipe
Personally, I went with the Bavaria manifolds, will do the porting, then send them to Jet Hot for coating. Will let local custom muffler shop do the install--with me providing the manifolds and down pipes and they take it from there on back--V8 size cat and turbo muffler. :-)
