I stumbled into a car this weekend that was just too good to pass up so I bought it. It's a heavily modified '78 530i. It's amazingly fast and handles better than my 528i. Has a few minor problems but the one that has me stumped is the transmission. It appears to shift into reverse, I can hear it shift I think, but it will not move. The forward gears work fine. Anyone have any suggestions or recommendations? Any help would be appreciated. By the way this car came with a complete set of factory service books (2 books) so if anyone has a problem that they need help on I may be able to send you copies of pages.
