Well it looks like it's not a bleeding prob. Pressure plate springs are breaking down.
Don't know how many miles are on this clutch (car has 130K) I'm assuming it's the second but I never get any slip so maybe it is the original. Any way to tell when it comes off? What is the average price for a clutch job.

- Re: clutch job price This could be a possibility and a great return to childhood. I did my first (and only) clutch job in 74 on my 71 2002. It was a daunting experience to say the least but with the help of a neighborhood kid we wrestled the tranny down and back. I might have to forgo it this time until I get back in the house (got it in the settlement along with my life) and begin to make the garage a heated year round mecca. But maybe I can delay if the pressure plate holds out. It happened so fast makes me think it's a fluid thing. No one would do a clutch without replacing the pressure plate would they? Also an experienced wrench told me I might have to resurface the fly wheel. That throughs me back into the self-doubt tunnel again. Is that a big deal? 10:12:01 1/31/99
