airdam (air..damn)

howdo folks

thanks for the suggestions on my previuos inquiry into airdams. Well I called SKS, and they want $600 for an airdam, which is kinda steep. Junk yards are not an option either, since e12s are rare, and those with an airdam would be even rarer. No BMW performance catalog lists an airdam for the e12 either. Would an e24 airdam fit an e12? What other REAl options do i have? What have you guys done?
