I have noticed that the front brakes from an early 733 or 735 look the same as the
e12 brakes, but they have a wider caliper spacer and use a thicker disk.
The rebuild kit is the same part number for both.
I am tempted to buy a caliper from a junkyard and look for other differences.
This seems to be a good way to get thicker disks 28 mm using factory parts. Also the rear
vented disks and calipers from euro 635 (79 to 81) would also be a nice upgrade.
Is this the same set up that Metric Mechanic uses on their upgrade kit??
Has any one done this?
