: My 1981 528i came with, what the previous owner described as, "European headers". They are two "three into 1" cast iron exhaust manifolds. Each manifold dumps into a separate down pipe which goes to the center resonator - no cat. They are marked with the following:
: "1250603" followed by what looks like a capital H with a capital D mated to its side to form one character. The front manifold has this number combination followed by a "1" and the rear manifold is noted "2".

: I am in dire need of exhaust gaskest from this manifold to the down pipes. The old ones leak and that gets real dangerous once the cold weather sets in and the windows stay closed in traffic.

: Anyone have any ideas about this exhaust set up and how to obtain new gaskets???

What shape are the gaskets? If they are triangular then the standard gaskets off of a e28 with an M30 engine should work. The part number is 11 76 1 711 717
Good Luck
