My car was stored for a while. When I got it out, I removed the spark plug and put about 1 Tbsp of light oil in to each hole.
On a "baby" six, you should change the timing belt before turning the key.
After 8 years, the fuel in the tank has most likely turned to shellac. You will most likely need to drain the tank, dump the fuel, clean it really well. You could probably get a local machine shop to put the tank in their "boiler" for a while.
Then put in a new battery, and see if it will start. If it does, it will most likely run badly for a while due to stuck (in the groove) rings and maybe sticky injectors. Put several bottles of Techron through it. The rings should loosen up on their own.
