: just returning from thanksgiving hope everyone had a good one. The e28 m5 rotor is a monstor compared to the big rotor in the 7.It also has some trick venting to it(People actully now say it doesnt work and to use the 850 rotor in its place) I have installed 85 and newer 735 rotors on my 79 635 and 81 528i (I ground out the center of the caliper were the pads slide to make them fit (Don't anyone have a cardiac arrest now) I did this on the 6 3 years ago with used rotors and they still aren,t warped car actully stops slightly better . If your going to go though the trubble of making brackets to fit bigger calipers go with alluminun four piston finned corvette brakes (probbaly cheaper and junkjard avail)Alpina makes some hot rod rotors and calipers but pricey and I am not sure if they are much larger I will try to find out . It's a real shame that power discs are not available for those spindles (e12s e23s ) They work well put them on my e28 and my dads e34 and we started to use them on some customers cars .They are cheep and work extremely well

Rev,

The 1978'- 82' Alpina B7 turbo uses the same front caliper as on the standard 79-81 E12 cars.

The front calipers are widened about 0.250 by replacing the caliper center section with a thicker one.
Alpina brake upgrade kit #999 93411611 (approx $105). This kit consists of (two wider center spacers,
seals, longer bolts with different pad supports springs). The rotors are also different,
with their size being (I think 280mm x 28 mm?? --prices are spendy $375 each I think?) with holes cross
drilled in a radial pattern.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Frank
