I am originally from Uruguay, but I have been living in the United States for the last 20 years, New York to be more precise. Every year I visit Uruguay for a few weeks and I need a car to get around while I am down there, so my father found this jewel sometime in December and I drove it during my stay in January.
The car was owned by this Lady who bought it new in 1978 and use it very little and kept it garaged most of the time. The car has 4 gears. I would like to install a 5-speed gearbox; it really needs it. You can tell that the revs are too high when you cruising. The engine is a 520 -- 6 cylinders with a carburetor. The mileage on it is (140.000 km )about 80.000 miles.
In a few weeks I am planning to do a few details on the paint and a undercoating job to keep the underneath of the car from rusting I am very happy to own a car that I loved so much as a kid growing up in the 80s.
