Re: replacing hard fuel lines

Robert, thx again for posting this. I just ordered both pipes for my 77. $60 plus $12 shipping. Seems almost silly cheap. I've just been replacing prebent brake lines on my Toyota Tundra and I'm up to about $500 for about 6 lines. And those lines are made in Kentucky. I'll be storing them till I ...

Re: replacing hard fuel lines

Thx for the quick response. Those are the same part numbers I found on Realoem. I'm surprised they still sell prebent lines.

I have 2 e12 buddies who have found cracking/damage in the sheet metal in the diff mount area. They are having to reinforce. Both cars have no other mods and are just stock ...

Re: replacing hard fuel lines

Very nice Robert. I partially replaced my rusted fuel lines at the back of the car and it was a lot of work bending and fitting the straight pipe up and around the rear subframe. When I remove the subframe ( when I do the suspension refresh) I was thinking about replacing the full lines all the way ...

Seems like most of the posts I see are for the 508. I'm planning to do this in the future,

Re: Pully or damper noise?

Its an odd sound. I've had a strange noise on my 77 the whole time I've had the car. Tried everything. Mine is more of a chirping at idle that goes away ay higher RPM. Another thing I tried was one at a time removing the Vbelts and see if it stops. Even the water pump belt, I just didn't let it run ...

Yeah that does seem strange they would both be working at the same time. Make you wonder, is it suppose to do that?

Re: Condenser Inlet Tube Leak

Eric, I wondered about those metal plates years ago as well. Funny thing the ones on your car almost look home made or something.
Heres the parts on realoem, I think. Parts 8 and 9

Re: Condenser Inlet Tube Leak

Great post here Eric. I'd really like to tackle this some day. Nice pics etc. My LA e12 buddy who's not on here is just talking about AC systems and parts etc. He showed me the crimper hes considering.

Very good progress here Mike. I'm wondering what made you decide to get a new AAV? I assume the cleaning didn't make the old one function properly? I suspect mine isn't working properly either . I noticed in your pic the shape of the opening is a different shape than the one in my car

Looks ...

Re: Would E12 Euro bumpers fit......

I would have to say, I bet not. To me the e3 is a fair bit larger. And if they did fit something wouldn't line up I'd bet. Just my 2 cents.

Re: E12 535i barely running

Maybe my ignorance but AF sensor? What is that? AFM? I would recommend investing in a spare ecu. That item is specific to your M90 and getting harder to source. I have a spare ecu for every BMW I own in the trunk. Wether thats the current problem or not, having one is gold. You could swap out the ...
