Re: What Sanden AC compressor do you recommend?

Seems like most of the posts I see are for the 508. I'm planning to do this in the future,

Re: Pully or damper noise?

Its an odd sound. I've had a strange noise on my 77 the whole time I've had the car. Tried everything. Mine is more of a chirping at idle that goes away ay higher RPM. Another thing I tried was one at a time removing the Vbelts and see if it stops. Even the water pump belt, I just didn't let it run ...

Re: Simultaneous a/c & heater?

Yeah that does seem strange they would both be working at the same time. Make you wonder, is it suppose to do that?

Re: Condenser Inlet Tube Leak

Eric, I wondered about those metal plates years ago as well. Funny thing the ones on your car almost look home made or something. Heres the parts on realoem, I think. Parts 8 and 9 https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/51918855947_2e94d30dbd_z.jpg 133D70DB-504B-412F-9D4D-F89F142E6309 by Dave Grayson ,...

Re: Condenser Inlet Tube Leak

Great post here Eric. I'd really like to tackle this some day. Nice pics etc. My LA e12 buddy who's not on here is just talking about AC systems and parts etc. He showed me the crimper hes considering. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Mastercool-71550-Manual-Basic-AC-A-C-Hose-Crimper-Kit-with-Dies-/23172353...

Re: 1976 BMW 530i "Eleanor" rebuild project

Very good progress here Mike. I'm wondering what made you decide to get a new AAV? I assume the cleaning didn't make the old one function properly? I suspect mine isn't working properly either . I noticed in your pic the shape of the opening is a different shape than the one in my car Looks like BM...

Re: Would E12 Euro bumpers fit......

I would have to say, I bet not. To me the e3 is a fair bit larger. And if they did fit something wouldn't line up I'd bet. Just my 2 cents.

Re: E12 535i barely running

Maybe my ignorance but AF sensor? What is that? AFM? I would recommend investing in a spare ecu. That item is specific to your M90 and getting harder to source. I have a spare ecu for every BMW I own in the trunk. Wether thats the current problem or not, having one is gold. You could swap out the ec...

Re: Ventilation Control Knob

Eric, Hope you're well. As you may have seen when I replaced my water heater valve, I was in that general area but wasn't ( I don't think ) doing anything to the parts you are describing so I cant really give you much help. I will say though just removing the two console side panels and the radio et...

Re: M535i bumper on a us spec e12?

Thx for the kind words. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I think you may be right about the fenders being nla. There is an aftermarket brand of euro fenders out there as well I believe. I've hesitated a few times on good deals on fenders when I should have just grabbed them. I'm not in a rus...
