I had good results with the Leatherique Rejuvenator/Prestine combo for the e9 seats. I don't know if BMW sealed the leather in 1972, but the seats started out very stiff with some cracks and are now reasonably flexible. Did I get a magical return to new? No. But the leather is much better after the ...

Here is a link to the FAQ that describes the process. I just did this and it is well-written.

Hello CHarles, The KBA number isn't a part number. The KBA is like the DOT in the US. Is there a number like 1216 (for E12 part) or 1227 (E28) on it? That would be the part number. If not, how about some photos or measurements? I just noticed that you have an '81 listed in your signature, does the s...

Thanks guys! Cabbage - Your solution is exactly what I was thinking of doing. The US socket was just a bit too small to fit cleanly on the housing - the problem was that I would have to trim the mounting lip off the socket to get it into the right position, and that means a semi-permanent (ie: glue)...

Hi Ron, That's the problem - the socket is not listed on any of the diagrams. The socket just appears as part of the housing (which is definitely the case with the black plastic ones that I've seen) I'm hoping that someone knows the part number of a socket that fits or if an easy to find housing use...

Euro indicators socket??
I was able to source euro bumpers and turn indicators from Wallothnesch, but the indicator housing does not come with bulb sockets. The US ones will not fit without some modification and none of the parts diagrams or searches will turn up a part number. Does anyone know the part number for the bulb ...
