Re: Blower motor fuse?

Thanks Mike! The PO actually soldered a new, flat fuse in there and the connection was lose. When I bumped into it, the blower started going. Not sure how to get the AC going. It is only the upper fan that runs

Re: Blower motor fuse?

Thanks! Stupid me did not even think about looking in the book! I just looked on the fuse box cover. The fan motor runs great, had it out and bench tested. I rule out anything in the HVAC Panbel since I swapped it out with another one. Of course there is the possibility that the other one is also br...

Blower motor fuse?

The blower on my 1981 6er (E12 based) stopped working and I thought it may be the fuse Problem is that I can't find the fuse that would cover that in the fuse box.

Tom,

I have a good ECU that you can try out if you like. Could also be your FPR?

Re: Not the AFM but what?

Thank you all for your input. I have to admit that I have not checked the red cable going directly (well, via the ignition switch) to the double relay (http://www.house-calls.us/images/1980_633_EL123.jpg). This is after all where the power comes from. I'll check that and report my findings later.

Not the AFM but what?

I thought that my AFM (Part #13621359641 -Bosch #0280203002) died since it looked like it no longer sends a signal to the double relay (1979 M90 L Jet engine) and hence the car does not run anymore. I do have continuity from the battery to the fuse box and again to the double relay and continued fro...

Re: AFM Interchange

Thanks and sorry T Hanson but in this case you cannot consult realoem .com for the part numbers since those are Bosch part numbers that are not listed. If an AFM looks similar is also not an option since I am looking for a L Jet AFM but I have a few AFM that come from a Motronic engine. Problem is t...

Thanks! That really seems like a PITA and I have not tried this yet. Has to get warmer first. Guess it also depends on the size of the timing gun?
