Luke wrote:OK, I see, you can use those housings and get a nice 5.25 inch speaker in, I think I will go that route. Thanks!
I wish someone would chime in and verify they fit the E12 shelf. Not sure why they wouldn't, but who knows.

The polks I have fit without issue. Surprisingly.

I wish I could remember. I did some good Polk 4x6s up front and components in the rear. I'm guessing your car has the 4x6s in the rear instead of the bigger premium housings? The bigger premium housings? You mean aftermarket or can we fit bigger ones in? 99% sure this is what I used for the front s...

I replaced mine as a preventive thing back when I got my current 528i and I had multiple failures with the replacement tstats... should have just left it alone! I guess that's the quickest way to start, stick it in some hot water and see what happens. ...

It comes out easily then and you could install the carpet in a way that no one would ever know that incision had...

Here are some shots of my car from last summer on the ST Springs w/ Bilstein Sports. Pretty much the same now, but I have raised the rear perch all the way so it has a little more rake to it.

Sorry I can't help (though it sounds like a fuel issue to me), but I would love to see a pic of your car with the Alpina wheels, since we have otherwise similar vehicles. I have been considering going this route but haven't been able to make up my mind yet.
