Re: Red Line in gearbox and differential?
You may go through reverse light switches more often. It seem to work past the seal and get into the contacts.

M30 heads are all about the same, with the exception of B35 heads, so swapping a head won't make any difference. To increase compression you need pistons. Sorry, just the way it is. There was a thread on E12 group on FaceBook where someone came up with M90 head that had smaller combustion chamber v...

For a car like the E12/E28 for street/occasional track use, they recommend 440 front and 325 rear. I like the ratio's but make sure the 440 are long enough. My euro was pretty light and I could still coil bind 450# 7 inch springs. Note if you have enough compression in front shocks (Bump) you may b...

Thank you, I think the mount is good, or not the source of the noise. I have a spare differential, which is what kept me from choosing to wait for a flatbed, one block at a time. I guess having to service, replace a few large items every thirty five years isn't all that unexpected. Just strange the...

I am getting good voltage to brown and green wires,
with a pulse from the black wire.
So I am assuming I killed my tach somehow.
Will update when I get another.
1 - black
+ green
The other terminal (can't remember label) is brown

I had issues with my WAR chip when I first bought it. Apparently it was never uploaded with the tuning software before it left the shop. I contacted Brody and he got me hooked up via online taking over my computer magic. This was pretty late at night to he was helping me, around 10. There customer ...

I was contacted to help a autocrosser get a WAR chip running. I could not figure out how to log or tune-part load AFR and could not get any response from Miller's email. In the end he asked me to make a MegaSquirt plug and play for his e30 and he sold the WAR setup. I did like the Miller intake he b...

Re: Grub screw/ignition switch replacing
" Unscrew hollow set screw." " Remove grub screw." All I see is a small plate with what looks like an odd phillips head set screw, impossible to turn with a screwdriver. The slot(s) are not deep at all. Has anyone replaced the ignition switch, and or the key tumbler to enlighten...

Thanks, Peter, they are. My understanding, other than valving, the travel is the same it's the bump stops that differ between the two. The HDs having a much longer internal stop. Dont quote me on that, though. ;) Sports will be fine; if you go way up on spring rate, you may need them to dial in mor...
