Can the same cross-member be used for the M30B35 5-speed 260/6 Getrag gearbox?

It's got to be either a bad contact or the starter motor that has a bad sliding axle. It's inconvient that this only happens once in a while but when it does and you can measure the current to the starter you would know more.

Do you hear it click immediatelly or after six seconds when it happens?

Mill the spacers down and you're golden.

I did something similar to the e38 calipers I'm using on my e30.

The M535i uses the same caliper halfs but thicker spacers to allow for vented rotors. Don't quote me on this but it's something I recall investigating years ago when I was looking for a brake upgrade. In the end I ditched the extremely heavy calipers for bigger aluminium E38 calipers + bigger rotors.

Bringing an old topic back to life. I've bought e28:
-power windows
-central locking
-lock heating
-power mirrors
-heated mirrors
-cruise control

I'll be fitting that all to my E12. Or atleast try to fit it all. Stay tuned to my project topic:

What kind of engine do you have?

How is the idle control valve? Normally this picks up the dropping rpm and eases it down. When it's a bit stuck it can not respond in a delicate way so the engine starts bogging when the throttle is closed. If you can switch it with a known good one that would be a good start. Otherwise give it a go...

I took the hose from the old M30B25 engine and it had a different number on it what I couldn't find in Realoem. I also didn't know anymore which line was connected to which port. The car did have an engine in it for about a year :).

Anyway it's ordered.
