Re: 1986 b34 swap with e12 intake and motronic 1.0
Forgot to mention I am using the e12 cylinder head because I got this motor from the junkyard and it looked like the pistons and valves were starting to get to know eachother too well, as well as I had a e12 cylinder head from my b28 rebuild sitting around. I know its not the strong one since it was...

Re: 528i head cc combustion chamber
After doing some more trials but with it sealed better and better equipment i was getting on average of 57-60cc for each cylinder. After talking to someone els who modifies m30's he said that all m30 heads have the same cc exept the b35 meaning the e12 head should have around 58cc but i think it can...

528i head cc combustion chamber
I realized that the head cc size was not in the cylinder head faq and so i measured my head cc today and got an average of around 63 cc after doing 2 different cinders a couple times im guessing stock heads have a head cc of 65 (same as b35) but since my head has been re-milled twice its slightly lo...

Re: Distributor connector
Ok so i solved my own question after a bit of research the motronic systems computer controls ignition and all other timing aseptic so this wire is not necessary since the computer take the place of the hall effect sensor that reads the distributor.

Re: Distributor connector
http://bigcoupe.com/phpBB2/download/file.php?id=22411 I found this picture here with someone els saying that "The green wire to the distributor is (for L-jet) the primary timing signal for the whole engine, and connects to a hall-effect sensor within the distributor " i am unsure if that ...

Re: Coolant in oil
I found a 86 635csi that had a rear end collision in a junkyard and got a m30b34 with a 5 speed for 400$ so I will do that swap now. There was a hole when I drilled out the broken coolant drain plug and retapped it I drilled too far and put a pin hole in my crankcase. I will be doing the swap now bu...

These pictures are a spitting image of what I’ve been doing for the past months (this is my first engine build so it’s going allot slower). Good job to you man My block had a ton of rust in it and looked about the same as yours. Minus the pistons scraping Its looked the same. Hope to see some update...

Re: Euro Bumper mounting help
Yeah I did not have the metal blades ready to cut it at the time but you will have to do some cutting where the US shocks were on the front and back I just bent it out of the way with vise grips to try to mount it it is OEM I wire brushed and repainted it and got rid of the rusted out square bolts i...
