Adjusting Bilstein Sports height....
Anybody run with their rear Bilsteins with their lower spring collar on the lowest "notch" or "groove" on the shock body? I just wanted to see if I could get my 528i less "tail high"...

Driveline weirdness...
So I have a slight vibration at around 2500revs and what sounds like someone taping the drive shaft tunnel with a block of wood at all speeds. I checked the center support bearing and guibo and they "look" fine - in fact, they look almost new. There is a sliiiiiiiiiiiiight amount of "wiggle" in the ...

Exhaust?
Anyone have any good exhaust "recipes"? What worked, what didn't? What sounded best? Thinking about getting rid of the cats as I don't have any kind of smog tests...

I soaked mine in brake fluid for a good while, sprayed some PB Blaster on/in the seam between the frozen piston and caliper orifice. I then put the caliper in a vice, (you have to be "creative" on finding a way to clamp it...), then, and be careful here, I used some vice grips and "pinched" the edge ...

Speedometer replacement?
My '80 528 has a speedometer that only goes to 80, can I replace it from an e28 or something?
Thanks!

Power to the window!
Is there a good place to start when diagnosing non-operable power windows? Driver's window and rear passenger-side windows are the only ones that work. Is there a common failure point? Maybe a "usual suspect"?
Thanks!

Small vibe/shudder...
Well, I'm getting the girl back on the road, (pics to come), and I've developed a small vibe/shudder in the drive line when accelerating. The vibe goes away when I reach 20-30mph. Would this be drive shaft center support bearing? Guibo(s)? The diff. mount looks fine as does the tranny mount....

Tranny mount choices?
So I'm up under my '80 528 and notice that there are two mounting "forks" cast into my 5 speed box. The mount on it now is bolted to the fork closer to the motor-side. The other mount location is just "hanging". Is this normal? The reason I ask is I noticed a little "shudder/slop" in the drive line ...

Brake problems...
I have a front driver's side caliper sticking and the rear driver's side caliper sticking. Is this some kind of common problem in the E12 brake circuit or just a coincidence that one side of the car has sticking calipers?
Thanks!
