WTB: Wiper motor

I have Peter F looking in his storage area. If he can't find one, does anyone have a wiper motor they want to part with?

Thank you

Re: Speedo & Odometer Just Quit Working

Cable broke. It controls both the Odo and the Speedo. Unbolt the cable at the tranny and attach a drill. Run it in reverse on speed two. Have someone watching it. If it works, it's on the transmission side. If it doesn't, disconnect the next section and repeat. Work your way up. The car is either a ...

I have a complete set of green velour you could dye the right color. Front and read seats in great shape. Dye them and bolt them right in.

The guys are correct along with your own thoughts. The reading is done in a percentage. If it's off 5 MPH at 35, it will be off 10 MPH at 60. You can make the adjustment yourself if you like. I'm going to guess you are not the original owner and have no idea if this is the original speedo head. None...

Tom,

I have the fatter one I can send you. I converted to a custom one for the project. Call me if you want it. Look up the number on odometergears.com so I don't get telemarketing calls.

It's been awhile but I know exactly what you have. You have the wrong fan clutch. There were two sizes. I couldn't figure it out for a long time and actually moved the motor back and shortened the drive shaft. I was baffled for the longest time. Recheck and then recheck again the part number for you...

Pretty easy to find LEDs that fit right into the sockets now. If you go regular bulbs, stay with OEM wattage or you will melt something. Deal with these everyday with customers.

Go with coil overs to replace your stock spring set up. You can easily do the job for a couple hundred if you do it yourself. Nothing hard about it. Biggest thing is having access to a mig welder and a hacksaw. Call Ireland Engineering and they will get you the correct parts for the job. Spring rate...

Karl,

If I remember right you should have two (2) light bulbs on the top of your cluster. Don't use anything over the OEM wattage or you will risk burning/melting/fire.

As you know I work on many instrument clusters and I have seen some really stupid things done to them.

An M5 engine is not hard to do but... If think about the up keep. It's not cheap and you better have the tools to tune it. Rebuild on that motor will be 10K easy. Also, the S38 throttle bodies look cool but you aren't getting your brake booster back in because of the plenum. You can always go with a...

Karl,

If it isn't reading correctly, call Palo Alto Speedometer. Hartmut re calibrated mine when I did the switch. It's not a simple gear change in the speedo head but a re-magnetizing of the speedometer.

If the gear ratio in the diff was the same as yours, no problems.

First answer is big ass turbo or even a smaller one. TCD has a simple setup. Google turbo charging dynamics Run his system with 8-10lbs and enjoy the 100 hp increase along with improved gas mileage. The 90mm crank out of an S38B38 M5 engine will do you right also. This will run around 2-4K I have so...

Andy, You've gotten great directions already from the above posts on how to remove the speedometer. Like Tom said, check the FAQ's on the forum. Only thing I need to correct would be the reseting while moving. Pressing the reset has NOTHING to do with wearing out the gears. Hit reset at any speed. I...
