Re: Accelerator Bowden Cable
Hi Mike, Apologies for not seeing your response sooner! Yes, I have seen the bowden cable for sale but I was thinking there was a separate part where it hooks onto the pedal linkage at the top of the engine that I circled. It's a weird screw on eye hook that snaps over a ball fitting. Trying to avoi...

Accelerator Bowden Cable
The attached photos show the end of the cable that attaches the accelerator pedal that syncs the automatic transmission shifting with the rpms, for lack of better description. As you can see I have rigged the part that attaches to the lever with wire so it doesn't disconnect. My question is has anyb...

Re: ATF leak at speedo drive
Thanks for the tips Mike, as always helpful!
I believe the inner seal looks to be there in the diagram of the whole assemble without a part #. The bottom arrow coming from #24.

ATF leak at speedo drive
Hello All, Have had long time issue with ATF leak at speedo insert at tranny. All parts are listed as NLA but have found an O'ring by dimensions from realoem on Amazon, but that has not solved the problem. The issue I believe may be that bushing on the inside of the plastic housing the cable goes in...

Thank you for all the good feedback and ideas! I just have not had the time recently to explore the issue further but promise to get back to you all once I figure this odd noise out.

My cousin was just here and he said it sounds like a pully bearing to him.

Re: Pully or damper noise?
Haven't noticed it getting louder at higher rpm, just as the engine warms up and then steady at idle.

Re: Pully or damper noise?
Yes, did not budge at all when wedged with big screwdriver or grabbed with both hands to see if any movement.

Re: Pully or damper noise?
Yes in fact did use a stethoscope and big screwdriver while under there yesterday and still could not isolate it. Do agree maybe it is just belts or pulleys but not the alternator or water pump. Suspect pulley the most as subsides when sprayed with lube.

Re: Pully or damper noise?
Got under car as suggested and there was no wobble in damper while running, and not loose when wedged with big screwdriver. From underneath is louder sounds like it is internal in engine, maybe the oil pump? Hopefully the attach drop box link will let you hear the birds chirping lol. "C:\Users\...

Re: Pully or damper noise?
Yes, it seems the noise goes away after I spray lubricant between the pully and damper. Water pump is only 2 yrs old.
