Re: E12 535i barely running
I thought I'd update with progress on my barely running m535i in the event that it might be useful for someone else. I replaced the cap rotor and plugs and it was clear that the car was running too lean as the tips of all 6 plugs were white. I replaced the coolant temp sensor that feeds the ECU, and...

There is a FAQ on dismantling the dash, and if there isn't an easy way to get at the bulbs from the front, that...

heater control lights
I would like to replace the bulbs that illuminate the heater control dials in a 1980 M535i. Where can I find instructions for disassembling the control unit so I can get to those bulbs? Thanks.

It starts when cold, idles rough and jerks and hesitates upon accelerating. The problem worsens as the motor warms up to the ...

Can the spacer be removed from the 535i calipers and installed in 528i calipers?

m535i brakes
So the garage queen m535i front brake calipers have some pistons that are sticking, and corroded enough that the local expertise says they aren't worth building (I am not so sure). I have hunted around on this forum and on RealOEM, and haven't found any simple alternatives aside from the $900 factor...
