Cut it 1/4 inch to the left (Looking at your picture.) You want to keep that lip. A decent box cutter works fine. Be gentle. Go back and forth, and rotate one way then the other and you should get a good clean cut. Don't worry if it's not perfect. That's what we did when we converted Brian's car. Ma...

I bought my 76 over 10 years ago for cheap because it had a current draw. The PO had installed a large marine style main switch under the hood that had to be turned off every time the car would be parked for an extended period of time. (Over 4 hours.) A month into my new ownership, while connecting ...

Put them in a box, ship them to me, I'll fix them and ship them back to you. Just pay the shipping both ways.

You can grind it off. A dremel may work since getting a grinder to reach will be a challenge. It may take some patience but it should work.

If the signals work but the light in the dash doesnt, it's your flasher relay, not your hazard switch. I have repaired dozens of hazard switched. I would say that 9 out of 10 fixes are successful. Most fail when they won't stay in. The switch itself is quite simple. The little rod that does he "...

I do have an 81 I could sell

It is not Brazil, it's polaris.
It's not a 5-speed either. It's an automatic.

June 2008 car of the month.
Looks about the same. Paint is a little worse.
AC works.

Interested? I'm in Camarillo.

This is just my own personal subjective opinion. I am not a purist. Far from it. I like angle eyes, but not on an E12. It conflicts with the classic look. I even like those E12s that are converted to the Euro staggered size set up. (Big and small, like the E28 and E23) Angel eyes on an E30? Maybe. I...

Do not rule out your brakes. You may have a sticky caliper or restricted brake lines.
Would you be nore specific about the symptoms? Is it consistent? Is is always left (or right?) Does it straigten out then start again? If you got it aligned again, was it off and needed adjustment?

I swapped the rear seats from an 86 E28 in my 76 E12. The seat back was fairly straight forward. The bottom will just not go in. It's close but I have to still do some surgery before I get it secured and fastened in.

URO quality is actually pretty good. They have issues with fitment on some items such as windshield gaskets but hoses have wider tolerances and work well. I have had good luck with CRP hoses too. If you bypass the TB coolant passage, bypass it, and do not block the two ends. You need to let the cola...

Clutches do not bleed like brakes unfortunately. When you press on the brakes, you are building pressure, he pads make contact and stop. You keep pushing, open the bleed screw, and now you are pressing fluid out. On a clutch, when you press, you are pushing on the pressure plate which moves all the ...

I would flush the hydraulic system. You may have sticky clutch master and slave cylinders.
