Pics would help but to give you an idea I bought my 528 for 1200 bucks. Everything was shot in it except the motor and trans was fresh. Over the course of the year I prolly put about 2k into it. Keep in mind the majority of the parts I had were not needed more so a want I.E. euro trim, wheels, suspe...

What ken said. Highly unlikely your pads or rotors crapped out just from sitting. I have had similar issues on some of my cars if they have been sitting

You build your own. Stuff like that is all fabricated. Some companies will make kits for the more popular hoop D rides other than that you piece it all together and break out the welder and torch

If you have the pump pulled out you should be able to hook up a voltage source to see if it works. If it turns on when you apply direct voltage then you have another issue at hand. Or Just remove the fuel line going to the engine place it over a bucket and turn the key to see if it is delivering fuel

I've never seen one that looked like that and while I had an early car as a parts car one time, it was a looooooooong time ago. My guess is it's aftermarket, or an adaptation of a factory part, but I've never seen one like that. The only cars I've ever had sort of aftermarket A/C in were e21s which...

No extra fuel should be wasted, just that the additional octane isn't needed. Octane does slow the burning process to a degree, and can make it run slightly cooler and with lower Nox emissions, but is not generally noticed in driving, except in reduction of knock or preigniton, which is a bad and d...

Ah, lets see, what's the elevation in Boise? :) My current one, courtesy of a prior owner, doesn't even have but a few of the parts in spite of it coming that way from the factory. My first had great A/C and got used regularly, especially on Las Vegas vacations in August. Is yours factory air or af...

If it's a real M535i, it's 9.3:1 compression, not 10:1. Regardless, you should be running premium, whatever the number is where you live. Except when timing is changed to allow the use of better or worse fuel, the car should not run any differently with a different octane rating. But if you change ...

I had that on my first E12 and I never really tracked it down, IIRC I could stop it by turning the temp control to the off position, but I'm pretty sure it is a shorted diode in the wiring down by the compressor leading to the compressor. The temp switch should be located in the right hand radiator...

Recomended Fuel for M535

Was wondering what the recomended fuel for the M535 is. The PO of my car was using 91 however the MPG was horrid. I made the switch to reg and the car's MPG has gone up significantly, well over 5. However I have noticed the car runs a little rougher and is running rich. I am not really to sure if th...

535 A/C wiring question

The other day my blower fan for my A/C unit would not shut off (this is the fan that sits in front of the condensor). For some reason the fan had a line that ran directly to the battery. Unhook it from the battery and it shut off. I believe there is a temp senser or switch somewhere in line with the...

Adjusting the AFM will change the richness, however if you haven't changed it to begin with your only going to be patching a potential problem. I would recommend you find out the real reason why it's running rich. How you adjust the AFM is you open the black cover and turn the black wheel. This req...

Re: :P

It is aluminum I do have a torque wrench, but i was tightening it with a crescent wrench to just a whole turn past hand tight. Try a easy out. If it doesnt work then drill it out, re tap it and go from there. Most autoparts stores with ahave a tap and die set you can borrow for free just have to as...
