Re: Water Pump Type?

Looks like same design as in my 635 CSi 1980. See pictures - they explain how pump - puley and visco are connected together. Connection between visco and pulley disenables to use newer type of visco with internal thread.

Re: Engine block paint / coating recommendations?

blok-malowanie_02.jpg blok-malowanie_10.jpg I’ve removed an old paint with circular wire brushes on grinder. Before this I’ve protected bloc’s top and bottom and all wholes to avoid the dust. Next I’ve sprayed the cover lids with zinc paint from the shop around the corner. Next the rest of block I’...

Oversized pistons for M90 3453 cm3 motor

I'm looking for oversized pistons for my M90 motor in E24 of 1980. Original BMW/Mahle are out of stock since few years. I would be happy to order custom casted pistons. I've heard something good about hypereuthectic Alu alloys. I've already checked at: JE Pistons, UEM (Keith Black), CP Carrillo, VAC...

Re: E12 Crank Position sensor

Hi, today I've bought the plug for this service socket, looks nice in bay but I still don't know what is this socket for - what was possible to check with this? Anybody knows? Being curious about it I've just found this thread. To answer 71911 question I attach the photo of thermostat housing of my ...

I've checked how the Lambda-Probe "overcontrol" unit (GAT-Tronic ST 25) is switched to the harness of L-Jetronic control unit. "Overcontrol" has 3 wires (WH, BLUE and YE) cut-in to the harness just after L-Jetronic control unit. Do You have any idea how to wire-off the GAT-Tronic...

later on added catalyst - how to remove

My 635 CS produced in 1980 (M90 engine) was previously driven in Germany where in 1997 was upgraded with GAT catalyst with lambda probe. Lambda is connected to the "black box" switched to wireing just nereby L-Jetronic control unit. Job was done at BMW's in Germany. I want to remove the ca...

I've just found your post Blaise so my reply is late but helpful I hope. I've got the same problem in my 635. It's 1980 car so my guibo is the same design as yours before replacement with spacers. New guibo in my car had withstood some 6 kmiles and than had been torned off as yours. The misalignment...
