put a torch to it after you soak it with rust spray. Once hot, tap on the top with a hammer. Then and only then try to turn it. Go both ways at first until it comes loose.

you have a vaccum leak somewhere. Like stated above, it could be the check valve, booster or master cylinder. Not too hard to change 2 out of 3. The booster gets fun with some of the bolts but is very do-able. Start with the easy one first. The E12 is notorious for vaccum leaks. There are excessive ...

Just hacked off a small part of the internal pump structure. After lunch will attach new 255LPH in-tank pump and rid myself of the external. Also fixing a leaking LR break line. Will be driving in an hour depending on work. Will take some photos and video later.

turbo update

Even not tuned and running out of fuel at 4K, the 2.8L with TCD turbo is scary behind the wheel. It runs like a bat out of hell.

Still working on it for O'Fest. More to come

T. Han, you will know right away because as you fill the coolant system, it will just keep filling and filling and filling. RealOEM.com has the correct listing. I needed an extra thick gasket and made of metal so I was dealing with the aftermarket folks. Even the Counter people at the mom and pop sh...

Head Gasket problems on the Turbo project

Not that anyone will do this but if you do, here is something not to repeat. If you order a headgasket for an older E12 motor, know your part number. Don't rely on the counter guy. 1972 to mid 1980 is the older style and then Mid 80 to 199- is the new style. It's not the block that is the problem bu...

Todd's kit with innercooler and 3 inch exhaust. Aiming for 250-300hp at the wheels. From other dyno tests with this setup, this should be reachable. Re-enforced the diff with factory fix. Also used old engine mount for second tranny mount. It's in a pulling position so it didn't need to be anything ...

2.8l Turbo is comming together

http://www.odometergears.com/images/28turbo.jpg Test fitting the 2.8 Turbo into the E-12 last night. The b34/35 intake didn't interfer with the brake booster. This is on a 1980 body. Might be different on older bodies like I have seen posted. The intake is from a 3.5L 1995 7 series. It bolted right...

Paging Greg Grip

Your Odometer is ready for you. I need an address to give you shipping costs.

Replaced two gears, not a big deal. Your gas light works fine. Check with others on why it doesn't light up on low tank. Bulb is great.

Email back your address to: sales@odometergears.com

Thanks Greg

I'm test fitting the turbo 2.8 Sunday and then the car goes back to the paint shop for an engine bay clean up before the permenent mounting. Tranny is waiting for three seals and then it's up to Peter and the MegaSquirt V3 to get it running. It's going to be close on my end also.

O'Fest is nearing!!!

Josh in Atlanta, I fully expect to see you there. Need photos of yours and my car together. Identical black and white euro E12's would look awsome. I will have a condo at the lakes. Please call us or stop by the booth when you get there. Hope to see a strong showing. Last year in NY we only had two ...

Thankfully I found them locally. BMW has a few new parts and I got the rest from a local donor.

Thanks anyway.

WANTED: throttle lever parts on drivers side motor mount

Does anyone have extra throttle arm parts from the left side motor mount? I don't need the motor mount but I do need the rest of the parts that make up the throttle lever. Need ASAP. I can supply a FEDEX account number for over night shipping. The parts need to be in good shape. There is a lever, sp...
