Unless there is an expert reason out there for ordering new sensors from BMW, pay attention to their pricing. As long as they fit the OEM specs we would not believe the very large cost savings in checking Rock Auto, Pelican, Autohauz, any of the aftermarket parts dealers. It's nuts. As it is with re...

Before the experts make suggestions, Autohauz sold me an oem fuel pump for $100. Not the national debt after possible 30 yrs. and Mike saying they get tired. Picky, but I thought the factory spec idle was 1200 r.p.m.. I read the in tank fuel pump, filter screen foot can get dirty, and the return fue...

Hey, thank you for the education, taking the time to type it for other members to learn. The details put my individual question to rest. It happened with no warnings, the differential input bearing let go. Through some miracle the car made it back to the shed, moving along neighborhood streets with ...

Air cleaners
Forever,... I have used my air compressor to blast the out the visible dirt and fluffy stuff. Fooling around with the box removed to access the AFM I was amazed at the difference in the idle settings, being right on, less warm up time, whatever. Clutching my coin purse, perhaps rationalizing weeny t...

I think it is common courtesy to thank you for taking the time to post your suggestions, obvious expertise from years of experience. If only time, space transport technology allowed raising my hand, in your class, with more questions. No offense, I did the whole fuel filter, pump, lines replacement ...

Fooling around,... engine off, I discovered the hose from the charcoal filter canister that connects to the fitting on the top of the manifold log making a hissing sound, obviously releasing pressure from something. Whether or not that's causing any problems, are the the lines in/out of the old junk...

Slow start,...still.
Any, but longer in cold temps. Turn the key, the starter turns for ten, fifteen seconds before ignition. Once started the engine idles @ 1500, 1800, drops to 15 within about two, three minutes depending upon the outside air temp. What's weird is driving, the idle is the factory 1200. Or sometimes 14...
