I feel it should be mentioned, just to clarify, that the top picture is Pertronix & the lower one is standard ignition with points.

Ron is correct. Except, don't stop there. Any time you buy another car, you/we
should ALWAYS change EVERY hose and belt along with changing ALL the fluids,
including the tranny, diff, motor, brake fluid and anti-freeze.
This tells you just how old everything is.

I sold my 'autotragic' '80 E12 to my mechanic Bob. He's now looking for a brake bomb.
Does anyone know where I can find one? This would be a feather in my cap.
