Im not sure, but It sounds like you want this to respond like a GTI or something. These boxes are soft by design. If you want the responsiveness that it sounds like, source a close ratio(rebuilt) box from an e9 CSL. That will do what you want it to do, but the last one we found cost 1500 Euros. I gu...

M90 Piston Ring Options?

Does anyone have any insight when it comes to sourcing rings for an M90? People that use the L block for builds must use something, right? Many use custom pistons, but what do they do for rings?

There are horrible people in this world, clearly. Rounding a rocker nut? Who is so bad at what they do that they accomplish that? People can be frustratingly stupid sometimes.

If it spun that easily on its own, it would just lift off the shifter. Check again whether the whole top half of the shifter is turning with the knob.

My pump works.. fuel gauge doesn't. Well, there you have it. You never answered the question "What doesn't work" so I couldn't help you. In my car, the only harness entering the boot as you describe is the fuel pump harness. The fuel gauge sender harness is part of the rear body harness, ...

Fuel pump wiring loom. If you look at the Fuel pump itself and fuse box and/or positive battery terminal, you'll probably see a non original wire added, which is someone's idea of fix for a flakey original fuel pump connection.

If you're at a stand still and you rev the engine and the problem exists, it is not the guibo. The guibo only moves when the car moves, neutral or in gear.
So, if the sound is present if you're reving the engine while not moving, can you verify that the sound is there with the clutch engaged or not?

The driveshaft and rear trans crossmember from the automatic should work with a 265 in an e12. The 7 series ones won't work. I think the guibo is different too. I have the center console for manual trans if you need one.

Sounds like you got a later water pump. If your original fan clutch is still good, get an early pump. If your clutch is tired, get a new later pulley and fan w/clutch. The early style clutch is crazy expensive if you can even find one.

True, but it looks like it needed to be said because there have been comments made that sound like there is some confusion about how Moronic 1.3 works.

He said he wanted M1.3 for fuel only, not spark. Spoiler alert: You can't use M1.3 for fuel only. You need references from both the crank and #6 spark plug wire to fire the injectors, which IS spark(ignition). You would want two DMEs, two harnesses in the engine compartment, etc? Why would you? It ...

It requires both the engine speed and the cylinder number to time the injector firing. It's a closed system. keeping the l-jet manifold limits you in upgrades unless you are open to fabricating stuff to make 1.3 parts fit. If you want to commit to converting to megasquirt, you can keep your original...
