Sounds like you're on the right track. Bad combo relay? Ignition switch? When you disengage starter does it seem like it runs out of fuel(pump shutdown) or immediately quits, (ignition related) Does the fuel pump turn on when key is turned on? ....starts easily with fuel immediately present? If so I...

I also had the occasional gassy trunk which I avoided by not filling all the way, seemed to be solved with new fuel line, one of which had turned to mush at the tank connection. Still suspected the evap lines/ tank. I've looked behind the side partition in the trunk but had no success accessing. Doe...

on my 81 its at the top left of the headlight cover opening, the cover has a flat portion 'missing" where the cable enters and passes right above the headlight adjuster.

Check and lube all throttle mechanical linkages, look for play in pivots on throttle body. Is your cold idle mechanism in good shape, done the refrigerator test? test. Dipstick seal good? Clean throttle body per faq?

I'd be looking at something other than the blower since the problem is the same if fan is off/on/low/high. you could pull the fuse and what happens. Does it happen at rest or only when moving? Does turning the climate control to off affect it? The pivot on my accelerator pedal sometimes buzzes cause...

What was the wear pattern like on the pads? I had a a blown seal on a front piston. The car pulled to the other side and the pad with the offending piston was thicker/less worn than the pad on the opposite side of the rotor.

In my case I believe it's the key and tumbler portion that has worn/failed, the one that requires a somewhat heroic effort to replace, consisting of removing a bunch of headless anti-theft screws to nearly disassemble the steering column. Started, gave up after after a few minutes, intuition? So my ...

If the hole in the bushing is 23 and your bar is smaller it should be an easy/ slightly sloppy fit. Sounds like the problem is the bracket or your bar is bigger than 23. I used the crescent wrench method, with a precision metric crescent wrench of course, not a cheap sloppy one

5000 rpm, I don't go there. Fraid of breaking something. And I have an issue with ignition control module(?) that nearly always causes cutting out at 4750 anyway except the occasional push in 2nd gear when engine half warm. I have wetness underneath that is blowing out the transmission vent. Probabl...

Before I changed the leaky oil press. sensor, but I'd only smell the drip on the ex.pipe when I stopped. Then I found I also had an oil leak at the valve cover  I believe I run a bit rich based on my exhaust smell but only aware when I'm out/behind the car. Maybe you are rich or burning oil an...

Karl, are you sure you have the right bushings for your diameter sway bar i.e. bushing too thick and designed for smaller diam bar? Sounds like something is amiss with fitment or bracket alignment tab. IFIRC I slid the bushing under the bracket after the bracket tab was in place and before I put the...
