The car is definitely louder than today's cars which are virtually silent when idling, but I don't know if that's just because cars were louder 40 years ago. There's no excessive exhaust vibration or noises that I can hear, but I don't have a reference. This setup does makes it really easy for one p...

Agreed, they should be replaced as a unit. During my research on driveshafts I read that replacing the center bearing isn't always a solution, because the non-replaceable U-joints get worn, and will cause accelerated wear on the new center bearing. But if you get an aftermarket driveshaft, most of t...

Thanks Mike, I'll see if I can just drill and install a bolt. But as for your second point, it looks like some exhaust guy noticed the same thing you did and came up with their own solution. It's a 90* rod that slots into this custom rubber mount, and feels really solid, it's well and truly locked i...

Rear muffler body mount
Does anyone know what the diff side of the rear muffler mounts to? There is nothing near the hanger. There are body holes and I have some temporary wire there. Realoem lists a rubber hanger but doesn't show what it hangs on to, but also shows the mount horizontal, this one is vertical. It looks like...

Re: Forget my last post...
The Diff is F**ked....but I'm not giving up.....I'm just going to wait until a parts car shows up if ever. Can't say I wasn't warned by the people on this forum. Nice yard art though. One day when I have the pieces I'll swap my rear end for an e28, and when I do I'll look you up to see if you...

If you take out the center vent you can reach in and pull the vent cables open or shut and feel the slider/track. I permanently shut the broken side on mine so the AC would work. I used the front camera on my cell phone to see what was going on in there. You might be able to replace the parts that w...

I set my cam side lash to .008-.009 inches on my M30B28 The rockers on all M10/M30s have a cam-to-valve ratio of of 1.298. So if the specified valve measurement is supposed to be .012, then .012/1.298 = .009 at the cam side. Later M30s had slightly more clearance, your M30B35 should have more cleara...
