Ok sounds good.
As long as you use the e12 M30 pan and oil pickup, all you need are the brackets from the b25. M30B35 P/S brackets require a M30B35 oil pan. Any M30B34/32/30/28/25 bracket will work with an e12 pan, but will not work with a B35 pan.

Confused yet?

I re-read your original post, and noticed that the car you bought the B35 from was an e34. All e34 M30s used a block that will require adapter plates to use the e12 motor mounts. Honestly, it would be easier to just find a local M30B34. It puts out the same horsepower as a B35, and will bolt right i...

...the charcoal canister plumbed differently in a 2002? Cory Yes. That scenario is specific to the 2002 because of the way the system is plumbed, so what happens is what I mentioned about the expansion tank would have to be filled, then forward to the canister. In the 2002, it is a perfect storm si...

You can make it a little easier on yourself if you swap out your front strut housings with later ones. 75-76 models had a lot of revisions and a lot of one or two year only parts for the front suspension and brakes. I took everything up front from an '80 because parts are much easier to come by, plu...

You have the good early hood and small tail lights, that's all that matters.

Point is, you don't know if it's ever been overfilled and drowned by a PO. As Mike has pointed out, what toasts these emissions control devices from the late '70s is 'topping off' with gas that sends raw liquid fuel to the canister, drowning the charcoal. The charcoal is there to absorb and hold on...

The Bosch TPS for manual trans cars from any '80s e24/28/23 will work as a direct replacement. The idle and WOT are interchangeable, so any opposite direction concerns are a non-issue. Harness connection is the same.

To clarify, the shifter itself would work, it's the aluminum support and the rod that are the wrong length from the e34.

Hint- e34 shifter mechanism will not fit. Get the whole setup from an e28 or e24, including the selector rod.

Speedos are overrated anyway.
They tend to gather en masse on the Riviera, tightly wrapped around generously proportioned oil tycoons looking for love.

So,... what was this thread about?

I don't know if you have other plans or just don't care, but you do realize that there is no speedo drive on the later trans, right? Anyway, as Chris said, balance isn't affected with a different flywheel. The added weight of the dual mass flywheel is a trade off for a more comfortable gear change. ...

Also, to finish this install, cut the mounting tabs off of the bottom of the air box, and in the middle of the bottom of air box just outboard of where the tabs used to be, drill about a 3/8 hole, and order the e24 rubber air box bumper that cushions and supports the air box against the valve cover....

Your other choice is to use the early bracket that holds the afm to the air box, and an intake boot from a 533. In this case you would get rid of the valve cover mount for the afm, including the studs in the valve cover. Way more work, but then your elbow will work. Choose previous option, please.
