Mine is a Bosch BMW axial compressor used from 1974 thru 1981 only. Turn around time for the rebuild is about a week.

The e12 uses the same bracket and compressor as the 74 e9, it is an axial compressor and impossible to find. I have a spare that I can have rebuilt with all new seals and bearings by the same guy that rebuilt mine. If you go with a Sanden style you will need a new bracket as the original bracket doe...

I use the B6 HD on my coupe with lowering springs, no issues.

I didn’t use the LED blinker bulbs as there is not enough resistance in the circuit to work correctly without going to an electronic flasher relay.

I had a leak that I was sure was coming from the rear main seal or input shaft of the trans. It turned out to be the oil pressure sending unit, not the seal though, it was leaking from the plastic housing itself and sends quite a bit of oil down the side of the block to the bell housing. Worth a look.

These are available from Amazon and have made a dramatic improvement in the tail and stop lamps.

The only cable BMW sells is the longer of the three from trans to the mileage box. From there the second cable goes inside and attaches to the third short cable. I don’t know of any much longer single cables but there might be something out there or you will need to find used cables. All 79-81 528i ...

They only show the long cable now. There is box where cable #2 attaches, it is just a counter with a button to reset the Ox sensor reminder.

Correction, shim was on rear end of rocker shaft.

I had this issue on a b30 motor, cam would not center the rockers over the valve end. We put a shim in the rear of the head to position the cam, at least I think that is what the machinist did!
