I think you don't have an option. Removing the wishbone is simple and you should check the ball joint anyway. I went ahead and replaced the control arms/wishbones because the ball joints were shot and the new ones came with bushings installed. Rockauto.com has Moog brand for $30 ea. struggling with ...

There's a pretty comprehensive combo relay troubleshooter here: http://www.njfiats.org/joomla/images/stories/manuals/BoschL.pdf Also a clear electrical diagram here: http://www.bowlsby.net/914/Classic/zTN_Man08.pdf I'm guessing bad ground. Is there pulse at each injector pin on ECM? DOne a test ligh...

I have a pinout list from an unknown Ecu and diagrams from an 80 & 81 that list injectors as ECU 14,15, 30-33. The injectors 14,30,31 (injectors # 4,5,6 share a lead to dbl. relay (I can't read the number 88b maybe, that it also is connected to Ecu 29 brown ground(?). The other injectors, 15,32,...

The spec section at the beginning of fuel system topic on realoem will give you the impedance and volume rates for comparison.

There are probably a number of other vehicle makes that have the same injectors/Bosch systems if you feel like a goose chase.

Thanks guys, I erred in thinking the grub screw was a plastic tab the needed to be pushed to remove the switch and probably mucked up the torx(?) slot by pushing hard on it with a cut off six penny nail. Aargh! the switch separated leaving half inside the cylinder, and I thought I was going to get o...

CBRadio did you solve your problem? My car caught your car's cold, cranks, won't start. Definitely the ignition switch in steering column. I got the wiring end of the ignition cylinder out. Jeez there's a lot of brass filings in there, also some plastic bits. <img src="https://www.dropbox.com/s...

Sliding Roof

My roof mechanism has failed. Tries but wont lift unless I push from the inside while pushing switch. Tries to slide back, don't want to push because I'm scared to get it stuck. motor/electrics are ok, pretty sure its the little fork shaped (plastic?) part and associated bits that the #15 is pointin...

No need to drop subframe if you use the slender 19(?)mm wrench in the tool kit(thanks to the 1st fiver who posted this tip). First detach end links. I recently replaced a broken bracket and installed new bushing no sweat, just many short turns of the wrench. I think i had to keep flipping it over as...
