I think you don't have an option. Removing the wishbone is simple and you should check the ball joint anyway. Thanks guys, I erred in thinking the grub screw was a plastic tab the needed to be pushed to remove the switch and probably mucked up the torx(?) slot by pushing hard on it with a cut off six penny nail. No need to drop subframe if you use the slender 19(?)mm wrench in the tool kit(thanks to the 1st fiver who posted this tip). First detach end links.
