Bosal Catalytic Converter fit or no fit
I just bought a cat conv on the net from car part kings. (285.00 w free shipping). If I want to return it I can take to Advance Auto Parts. Interesting huh? But my question is about fit. Seems to be short on the tubes out the back by about 1-2 inches. Dummy me threw out my old one and now I can't co...

As long as they take the same rebuild kit and pads they should be ok to mix and match. That would say the pistons are the same size so braking power and F/R bias would not change. Thanks mike. Do you have experience with both ATE and FTE? And do you know the diff between the two companies. I though...

ATE vs FTE calipers. What's the diff?
Can somebody tell me the actual difference between the two. Is it ok to mix them (calipers) on my e12? I seem to recall that they were absolutely identical but on is made in US and other in Germany. Thoughts?

Thanks T. I did see that post already but its still early.
Google search previous posts to find Mike W.'s opinion. (Ceramic, with no brand recommendation). autopartswarehouse.com, bavauto.com to read brand information, choices, prices. Mine are just for street, don't make black dust or squeak. When if it's time to replace I can't remember the old brand. Pr...

Need BRAKE PAD recommendation
Ceramic seems to get lots of press, but I still want to float the question as to what is BEST for LOW brake dust and squeaking (the lesser of evil to be sure). But you guys tell me... WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND by TYPE AND BRAND? BTW... I am replacing all calipers with ATE/FTE for my girl with the nice b...

Aux Electric A/C Condenser Fan DOWN
Does anyone out there know if I can pull the electric motor out of an E30 aux fan assembly and use it to replace the bad motor on my E12? The assemblies are all that are being dealer sold now and are priced at some 400 clams. OUCH! I dont need anything but the motor you know... Surely someone knows?...
