I replaced my Guibo w/o having to balance anything.
My car runs fine at any speed.
But the installation must be done in proper sequence.

Okay. The guibo has a band on it from the factory: DO NOT remove it till it's in place & torqued down!! Find which way the arrows on the guibo point; there are two ways. I'll say one way & the rest will be obvious. The arrows alternate pointing directions, as in every other. The small end of...

I've read that BEFORE you remove the driveshaft, you MUST mark one part to the other. I'm guessing a bright colored crayon would work from the 99 cent store? If you don't, when you reinstall, everything will be outta balance & still shimmy. Not to suggest this but, I got lucky & only replace...

You might only need a new Guibo?
The rubber donut between the driveshaft & the tranny.
Being rubber they do wear out.
There's a procedure to replace it.
Good luck,,,,Greg

Wow Jody!
Did you split open the tank to get inside?
Sounds like a great job.

I would say to him that because he didn't post an asking price, that I'm of course flexible but, I really want to spend only $50. If that's not the selling price, then please counter with his offer & meet in the middle. It's stupid to me not to start with the asking price, but, maybe he is just ...

You/we can't even expect the engine to run smoothly with the dipstick not being all the way in!
That's why guys sometimes have to fit a small rubber gasket around a worn factory dipstick gasket.
Our cars run a closed system; no outside air at all.
Sounds like you're good to go.

On top of the steering box there is a screw held tight by a nut surrounding it. Loosen the nut to adjust the screw, re-tighten while holding the screw in place & go for a spin. Re-adjust if necessary, go in small increments as it really doesn't take much. Righty tighty, lefty loosey. Prolly a go...

Remember, if it's a NEW head, it was never on a car before.
Maybe it's under warranty?
I hope you know the sequence to tighten down a head goes in three tightening sequences?
And, there's a particular spacing to use? It isn't 'just tightened'. Do you have a book?
