You're still messing with that??
Remember, I said it was a 'stealer' item? Well I'm not sure anymore, but, try PelicanParts.
Talk to someone 'cause it may not be on the website but, they may have it.
Good luck,,,,Greg

I suggest starting with the slave cylinder 'cause it's easier & they have the rep to go out first.

I gave you correct settings from my Haynes manual in response to your original post. I guess you didn't read it?
It's very specific depending on which distributor you have.

You need to enter your car in your signature so we know what we're dealing with, a 4spd or 5spd. While I'm here I'll offer my two cents; you have to go through the middle of the 'H' pattern & these are not new cars. A bushing or grommet in the linkage my be worn or something like that. How many ...

Points Gap

My Haynes reads: Standard distributor gap is 0.014". Distributor part #169 007 the gap is 0.016". These are for the 530i. I guess there are two distributors for that car?? This is the Haynes for the 528i and the 530i. 1975 thru 1980. The cover is green & it has an E12 on the cover. Pag...

Rear End

Welcome! Tell Wyatt this is not a Mopar!! Meaning it won't stand up to popping the clutch,,obviously. It's a semi grocery getter, a GT in sheep's clothing. Meaning, if given the right respect, it'll last a long time. Even at very high speeds! It can easily be a road racer, but, NOT a hot rod!...

5 spd

The Getrag 265 5spd has the reputation of being the strongest tranny BMW built!

Why does it need a re-build??

I have this very tranny in both of my cars. Are you changing the fluid every four years or so?
Greg
Ps,,,,Where are you?

NIKKI That doesn't sound like fuel injector issues to me. What I was really asking was, when was the last time you added a top quality injector cleaner to your gas? What's the answer? I do that 3 or 4 times a year. If I remember!! AND, I use nothing but Arco Premium!!! 91 octane. Greg Ps.. Ah...

By 'kicking down', do you mean hesitating & choking?
Have you cleaned your fuel injectors?
As you know, it takes more fuel to get in the upper rev range.
And, your distributor is brand new,,,or is it used?

CB is right about the radiator cap, as long as it isn't the one with the flip-up release.
The one w/o the release I think holds a better seal?
