I want to replace all of the most important, or critical front bushings.
My 1981 E12 has 122,000 original miles on it.
Below is a list of the ones I have on order right now.
Set of 4 Front Suspension Stabilizar bushings.
Set of Bushing for Stabilizing Rod in Cross Member Front
Set of Bushing for Lower Control Arm Outer
Set of Bushing for Lower Control Arm Inner
As a novice, and my knowledge is limited, so please let me know if I missed any other important bushings.
It's almost impossible to walk into a local parts store and pick up something for an E12. Thanks in advance.

Review archives for removal, installation helpful hints. One being a careful visual inspection of the existing pieces for cracks or obvious deterioration will save you time and a few bucks. Why ? Because all the old pieces are not necessarily total junk because they are old.
No argument new (old, depending upon how long the new pieces have been sitting on a shelf ) should be, will be better. Just know it's possible going through the hassle replacing all stock pieces in a stock 528i you are just driving sensibly around town, won't blow you away with big differences in,"Feel."
That's the drill involving lowering springs, shocks, sway bars, tires, wheels,...and teflon frame bushings.
