E28 subframe swap question

Post by Charlesm3 »

Hello all. I'm new to this forum and recently picked up a nice 81. I'm embarking on a full euro conversion with a 3.5 motor. Additionally I'm doing an e28 rear subframe swap. My question right now (and I'm sure one of hundreds to come) is can I use e12 rear Bilstein shocks with the subframe or should I order the e28 shocks.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Never mind. I figured it out by cross-referencing all of the rear shock part numbers. Going with e28 Bilsteins on the rear.

Make sure you have an early E28 differential cover as it will mount in the stock bushing.
