Front euro bumper conversion - before I start cutting...

Post by PatinaBeforePolish »

Back is finished and just started on the front. From those with experience - does the part of the front frame rail that clamps the US bumper shock absorber need to be cut to clear the brackets? Also, there's a tab with a self threading nut on the euro bumper bracket but I don't see how it's used - is that trimmed as well?

Thank you!

IIRC, the part of the front frame rail that clamps the US bumper shock absorber was left alone, but I cut off (trimmed) the tab with a self threading nut on the euro bumper bracket.

I cut the bumper shock flange flush with the body panel. The little tab with the body nut on the Euro bumper support is where the European market cars mount their horns.
