Pertronix Ignition

Post by canada karl »

Is anyone running one of these set ups in their distributor? Other than the convenience of not having to change points was there any other improvement ?

Ive been running a new Pertronix ignition for a month or two now. I did not get a big difference in performance, im still getting to know the car. but not having to wonder/worry about if the ignition (points and condenser are worn) is worth it. It feels a bit easier running. the idle seems a bit steadier, it still wanders a bit, not much. hope that helps.
