The black plastic insert in the metal tab (the part inserted into the buckle) broke away long ago and the webbing has frayed as a result of the uncovered metal edge wearing at it. I'm sending the entire left side front unit off to Safety Restore in Westfield, MA for webbing replacement, but they will reuse the hardware. It would be great to replace the metal tab or the insert during webbing replacement. The assembly is NLA.
This is the driver-side belt, the tab missing almost all of the plastic:
Here's the passenger side tab, with the plastic only partially missing:
Any ideas? I won't have time to scour a pick-and-pull, and this plastic seems to get very brittle with age.
Thanks gents,
Eric

Re: Seatbelt Rehab
My solution to cover the bare chrome and protect the nylon webbing : Cut a piece of leather matching the belt color. Fit and glue it through the slot to replace the broken plastic cover.
It works good and is not all that visible ugly.
