so, a 528e engine will NOT go into a e12? sorry to kick dead horse.

Not easily, not into a US spec car. A 528e engine is a M20 engine, not an M30 engine and a completely different engine. Now if you had a euro spec 520/6 it would work, but not with a 528i or 530i.

That would work. A fair amount of work, 745s were a complete car with a lot of extra bits, not just a turbo thrown on there, but it would work and has been done before. Hopefully most of the parts are good, they aren't always, one time I was going to harvest one from a junkyard and found the turbo had no guts, just a big bolt inside with washers to keep intake and exhaust apart.
