Torquing front suspension bolts?

Post by canada karl »

I've just replaced the wishbones(control arms).Different terminology from Haynes manual and Realoem.
1)The Nut in front of the "Set Rubber Mounting" What is the torque here?

2)Strut to control arm torque 51 to 65 ft/lbs....Correct?

3)Control arm to crossmember torque is 59-65 ft/lbs. Correct?

4)When the weight of the suspension is on the car you tighten the:"control arm pivot bolt"...is this the "control arm to crossmember bolt"?

5)When the weight of the suspension is on the car you tighten the "radius link arm rear nut"....which one is that?

6) M14x1 1.5 Nylocs arent available locally....is it OK to use Grade 8 Hex nut M14's along with Red Loctite?

Somebody enlighten me.

Yes.

The radius rod is the one that goes from the front of the subframe to the control arm, near the ball joint.

Yes.
