Getting ready to put in an M30B35

Post by Hogzip »

I"ve got an 81 528i that I have decided to put an M30B35 in (body, other mechanicals in good shape). I'm going to have my trusty BMW mechanic do it - I'm not knowledgeable about the topic.

But those of you out there that have some familiarity with this - how about some "lessons learned". What did you do right, what would you do differently? And what are the keys to success?

I'm a management consultant, and that's why these sound more like business questions than car nut questions. But they should be valid, and I'm hoping to learn from all you pioneers!!!

Reply post, call, or e-mail - and thanks in advance!
