I ordered part number (33-41-1-107-512-BOE) from Pelican, I was under the impression that it's a complete kit with seals (if any), but only inner/outer bearings and securing plates.. According to real OEM:

What are parts 4 & 8 that are not even listed? are those seals?
thanks

Looks more like a spacer and a shield to me. Is it a sealed bearing? If so, and I think it is, I doubt you would need seals. Now if it's an open bearing, yeah, lack of seals is a big deal.

Agreed. They do look like seals and covers, and I second the notion, just pay attention when disassembling.hildux30 wrote:OK sweet thanks, I'm digging in this weekend... needs to be done NOW, getting good results with Follixin but too much noise. Hopefully the flanges are not corroded... cheeers

Rear wheel bearing set from Pelican/BMW.. missing parts?
The missing two parts are the seals I believe. I just recently had to change driver side rear wheel bearings after 37 years (I believe they were original). I used new Timkin bearings and seals from RockAuto. I believe you need to order the seals. Good luck getting the old ones out without messing them up. Overall changing the bearings was easy once I got the 400+ft/lbs torqued stub axle bolt loose. It was at the limits of my air impact gun. You will need a good 30mm socket. My outer bearing grease was black and hard and the bearing had play however the inner bearing looked great and the grease was still soft. Pretty amazing the inner bearing looked so good after 37 years.

thanks, that did help. I am shopping around for a good 80 gallon 220v air compressor, I need it for my truck's suspension work too... The new bearings from BMW (SKF) are sealed, there is a plastic seal covering the ball-bearings, did your bearing come out sealed or open? I think that would make a difference to whether or not add grease in the housing .. cheers
