AFM Interchange

Post by Hefeweizen »

Would anyone here know if AFM Bosch #0 280 203 002 and AFM Bosch # 0 280 203 011 are interchangeable?

You can consult realoem .com for the part numbers. When those seem not to match and a factory new afm is $520, the answers to your question can become numerous.

Is your current unit not working, suspect, not adjusted properly ? Are you interested in doing such, read the Technical FAQ, or is your solution in finding one to swap in ? For what that is worth, if one looks like the other it will probably work. Providing it was working...

Yes, your fun is going to be with finding a parts source willing to fool around with the silly thing for no money.

Thanks and sorry T Hanson but in this case you cannot consult realoem .com for the part numbers since those are Bosch part numbers that are not listed. If an AFM looks similar is also not an option since I am looking for a L Jet AFM but I have a few AFM that come from a Motronic engine. Problem is that I do not really want to spend $100 plus shipping for a part that does not fit. Bosch usually has a table that tells you what the compatible parts are with their part number and when I contacted them they told me that this is an old part and they no longer carry that table.

No, I've heard it will run, but they do not interchange. IIRC 011 is for a lambda car and 002 is not. The calibration is different even though they appear similar both inside and out.
