Fuel filter / fuel lines

Post by T.Hanson »

Is there any reason for the steel fuel line components in the filter system ? It appears one could use one piece of fuel hose, curve it around. Not too long, or short ( to kink ) and eliminate two clamps, simplifying the operation.

I'm sure the boys in Munich had a reason originally, but don't sweat it. If you want to bypass that short steel line and can do so without it rubbing anything, do it.

It's no problem to do that. Just make sure there is no rubbing etc.
