Removal of Reactors

Post by adika »

Hello again, I have followed the "removal of EGR equipment" post to remove all the unnecessary stuff from the engine. My question is if everything else remains stock will the car run fine? I used exhaust manifolds that were from an e34 which bolted on with no issues, and will be connecting it to the existing pipe.

Thanks again

Yes, there should be no issues.

Since these cars don't have computers to detect whether or not the reactors are present, running E34 manifolds will not cause any difference. However, you should get and use a CO detector to ensure you aren't belching out unburnt hydrocarbons into the atmosphere.

Now, enjoy the assurance that your aluminum cylinder head won't warp due to reactor heat.

Did the "removal of EGR equipment" post include the guidelines to convert to later L-Jet?
