i wanna dump my reactors as well. the best way i can figure is to start measuring exhaust port spacing and getting some cheap headers that fit. because as i see i, even an ebay brand header has got to outflow these things. tho i must say, ive never seen a problem with my reactors.
but the only way youll free up the power that might come with the headers is to get it to breath better. ive got a stubby cone filter mounted right to the afm and the throttle response is better.

It's funny, but over here (Australia) I hardly ever hear of people replacing exhausts with "genuine" systems. Everyone I know just goes to an exhaust shop and gets one made in the correct size and shape with the relevant size/shape/type of mufflers and cats. They attach connections that allow it to go on the original hangers.
I've always gone half an inch up in size and used a high flow muffler. Makes nice noises and a tiny bit of extra power.
